Role Description
The position requires analyst participation in all biofunctional assay activities including but not limited to assay development and sample testing. The position also requires keeping current on documentation related to work pertaining to sample testing and assay development activities. The job involves performing other tasks as assigned related to specimen testing and functional assays using aseptic technique. As an integral member of this dynamic team, the incumbent must have a strong work ethic and be highly collaborative with the other group members. All of the above includes practicing laboratory safety at all times and being aligned with GLP/GMP compliance.
Responsibilities
1. Perform all aspects of functional bioassays to support assay development/qualification/validation and sample testing.
2. Collect, collate and analyze data on a per project basis to support troubleshooting, qualification, validation, and other lab projects.
3. Perform assays to support critical assay reagent testing and inventory maintenance.
4. Assist in ordering supplies from internal inventory and order/prepare reagents/supplies necessary for assay work.
5. Assist in updating and writing documents associated with assays, including information/data archiving, SOPs and status reports.
6. Satisfactorily completes all GLP/GMP and safety training in conformance with Departmental requirements.
7. Attend Power 2 Learn, corporate, and departmental trainings.
8. Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Education &
Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 2 years relevant experience, or a Master's degree. Technical Skills Requirements:
Laboratory experience in a biology, immunology and/or microbiology. Culturing of mammalian cell is a plus. The incumbent will be trained on required policies, practices, and procedures needed to support work responsibilities. Proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant scientific software is desirable. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift, sit, stand, walk, and bend to perform the work in the laboratory.
